What can our Sauces and Jams be used for?
Our sauces can be used in many ways.
- You can cook with them, but we suggest you add them to the last 5 to 10 minutes of cooking time so you don’t cook out the full flavour or heat;
- As a condiment (like a tomato sauce) and pour them over everything you eat;
- As a marinade for meat;
- The thinner runnier sauces like our Lime chilli sauce or our hot and mild Piri Piri sauces can be added to a good Olive oil, shake well and it is a wonderful salad dressing;
- As a dipping sauce.
Just experiment with them as we do, we have found the Habanero hot sauce goes well with fresh Strawberries and fresh black pepper. The Lime and the Mango goes well with a good vanilla ice cream, try it.
The Coriander, Bell Pepper, Garlic and Red Onion jams use like a relish/chutney/pickle, so on cold meats, with cheeses of all varieties, sandwiches, bake potatoes, the uses are endless, try stirring a good spoon full in to hot pasta dishes.
Our chilli Beer Mustard can be added to mayo to make it a bit special, add to mash potato to spice it up, or use as another mustard but remember it is no ordinary mustard.
